Rochester's Propane Supply FAQs
What Is A Gas Check?
It is a safety inspection we are required to perform on all new customers, and periodically perform on existing customers. It checks everything from the tank to the very last appliance. We document what appliances you have and the model and serial numbers. While most Gas Checks are free, any repairs that may be deemed necessary are not. If we find any serious issues, we will not deliver fuel until the problem is fixed.
How Safe Is Heating Oil?
Heating oil is safe. It takes a high-tech burner to ignite the oil. If you drop a match into heating oil it will go out as if dropping it into water. Heating oil must be vaporized before it will ignite or burn.
Has Heating Oil Improved? What Is It's Effects On The Environment?
Over the last three decades, oil heat equipment has improved its environmental performance. Before the development of the modern oil burners, the emissions of particulate matter from an oil heat system were 10 pounds per 1000 gallons burned, or .1 percent. Today’s oil heat has significantly lowered its emissions. Now, only 7 ounces is released for every thousand gallons burned, or .006 percent.

Usually one of the cheapest places in town that ain’t gonna make you drive the extra distance out to Tumwater or through the miserable roundabouts. It’s a 24 hour, self serve, and CARD ONLY sort of place that also has ETHANOL FREE fuel for roughly $0.60 extra (BRING YOUR FUEL JUGS). There aren’t any attendants. The trucks that bring in the fuel are literally parked right beside the pumps.Ohh, and the propane place is ACME just two and a half blocks south southeast.
