Spring has sprung! Last month we saw some beautiful weather with temperatures in the 70’s (well -deserved after February) and with that, the grass started growing. Hello again. I must start off by apologizing; it was probably my fault we had “Snowmageddon”. I usually type these newsletters in the 2nd to 3rd week of the month prior so we have time to edit and get them to our printer. My first paragraph last month suggested that winter was most likely “over”. …
February….I can’t believe I just typed that! Here in Western Washington, February is generally the last month of “winter”. Sure we can get a skiff of snow here and there in March or even April, but nothing major. As I type this, there doesn’t appear to be any really cold weather on the horizon. The…
Acme Fuel is more than a historic building on State Avenue in Olympia. There are historic treasures inside the building too, namely, the Allen family, who have steadily built Acme Fuel with some old-fashioned guiding principles, generation by generation. “I have just been very blessed, really.” says Tom, “We started off selling wood, then coal, then oil and…

Effective April 1, 2022, all credit/debit card payments for Fast Fuel invoices will incur a 3% surcharge to cover the costs of the credit/debit card fees charged to us.
We have resisted doing this, but with the increasing fees and the increasing price of fuel, we cannot absorb the costs any longer.
We encourage you to sign up for email statements and ACH billing. Not only do you avoid the fee, but we will give you an additional 5 cent per gallon DISCOUNT on fuel purchases made at our stations.
It is with both joy and sadness that I am announcing to you that we have sold the assets of our propane and heating oil division to Blue Star Gas.
My dad, Tom, and I worked very hard to find the right "fit" for both our employees and you, our valued customers. After a long vetting process, we determined that Blue Star is about as perfect of a fit as we could have asked for!
Like us, Blue Star is a third-generation family-owned business with the same values that we share of taking care of our customers and employees. In addition, they have the size and resources to provide many more services than we can offer. I know that they will take as good or even better care of you than we did!
On behalf of my dad and myself, I would like to thank you for being loyal customers for all these years!
Sincerely,
Christophe Allen
As of today (12/10/21), Acme Fuel has sold its assets to Blue Star Gas and we are pleased to welcome ACME Fuel customers to the Blue Star Gas family.
Blue Star Gas has operated in the Puget Sound area for 10 years out of our location in Tukwila. We are enjoying our 83rd year in business and I am the third generation to run the company. Blue Star Gas started in 1938 on the north coast of California, and currently serve 15 unique markets throughout California, Oregon, Washington, Arizona, and Utah.
We are grateful to the Allen family for allowing us this opportunity. We recognize the incredible reputation ACME Fuel has in the community and with its customers.
Rest assured there will be no disruption to your service as a result of this transition. I am pleased to share that all the ACME drivers have accepted our offer of employment, as well as much of the personnel in the Olympia office, which will remain open.
I would like to personally thank you for the opportunity to be your propane supplier and look forward to adding your relationship to thousands we have served for many decades.
Sincerely,
Jeff Stewart
President
